Brandt Centre – Q & A

1. What will this name change mean for expansion to the Agridome?

This partnership will mean a series of improvements to the facility. Most of the improvements will be geared towards improving the spectator experience in the facility. In time, changes will be made to the lower bowl including filling in the cutaway sections and refurbishing the seats now in place which will increase the seating capacity somewhat.

2. How much did Brandt pay for the naming rights?

This deal is a combination of cash, equipment and services which total a commitment of $1,250,000 from Brandt over the ten year term of the agreement.

3. When will the seats be replaced in the arena?

An engineering report is nearing completion which along with input from our facility users will form the basis of establishing expenditure priorities for the arena.

4. Are we getting a new scoreboard?

Refurbishment of the current scoreboard is one of the first priorities. We are currently studying a number of options which include the addition of video screens and an overall enhancement of the facility’s video capabilities.

5. How long until there is a ‘new’ arena?

This announcement is the first in what we anticipate will be a series of announcements involving the refurbishment of the arena.  There are no plans at this time for a new arena to replace the existing building.

6. Do the tenants of Regina Exhibition Park receive a share of the money?

The benefits to the Pats, Canadian Western Agribition, Exhibition Park and all other users will be a refurbished and updated building that will allow all parties to obtain improved financial rewards.
